A natural from the Magnolia plot at the heart of the renowned Finca El Injerto

La Libertad, in the Huehuetenango department of western Guatemala. Finca El Injerto has been run by the Aguirre family since 1900. More than half of the estate is kept as protected forest, and the farm keeps reinvesting every year, adding hydroelectric power and cherry reception tanks, so that quality and the environment are looked after together. Magnolia is a plot at the centre of the farm at 1,530–1,600 m. It was originally one of three plots used for the traditional natural process, but its balance of sweetness and floral character stood out, so this plot is bought as a single lot. The variety is Catuai.
