Finca San Diego Buena Vista is run by the Bock family, now in its third generation, in the Acatenango district of Chimaltenango, Guatemala. Ringed by volcanoes and open to warm winds from the Pacific, the farm grows its coffee under shade trees. Avocados and peaches also fruit on the estate, goats take care of the weeding, and the farm works with its ecosystem rather than against it. It also keeps investing in the upkeep of its mill, which decides quality after harvest.
