El Morito Farm is widely known as one of Guatemala's leading farms, having placed second in 2013, third in 2014, second in 2015 and expected to win first place in 2022 at the Guatemala COE*.
*COE (Cup of Excellence) is a coffee competition that determines the highest quality coffee beans harvested that year.
In addition, this farm avoids the use of herbicides and pesticides, and instead removes weeds by hand. They also use molasses fertilizer, which is effective in reducing pests and diseases, reducing the burden on the soil, stabilizing production, and ensuring sustainable farm management.
This coffee has a clean, well-defined acidity reminiscent of stone fruits such as green apples and apricots.
Although it has gone through the anaerobic process, it does not have a distinctive fermented feel, and you can also taste the richness and gentle sweetness towards the end.
